The Cannons of Kalindi

A children's adventure set in the Nicobar Islands, where the nephews of an anthropologist visit a plantation town and uncover connections to World War II

I've been interested in reading and creative writing for most of my life. As a kid, I wrote poems all the time. Sample a few here. I still have much to learn about 'free form' poetry.

Back at the age of 13, I finished my first short novel, 'The Cannons of Kalindi'. This was released by actress and then Member of Parliament, Shabana Azmi. It also received a letter of appreciation from President APJ Abdul Kalam and author Mark Tully.

I then concerned myself with other hobbies and getting a 'real job' in international development. I did however, minor in English Literature at St. Xavier's College Mumbai. In the background, I kept developing my follow-up novel, 'The Prayer Wheel Effect' for about 10 years. Now that I'm professionally better placed, I've brought some attention back to writing, and aim to finish the novel by December 2020.

The Prayer Wheel Effect
