I got interested in cooking while still in school.

In daily life, I prepare food that's just good enough to meet the macro nutrient requirements for fitness. Pretty low standards.

It's when I cook for friends and family that I go out of my way. I'm biased towards baking and desserts, though in recent years I've embraced main courses.

Like with music, it's about understanding what elements work well together, the usual strategies and genres, and then getting creative beyond the usual rules.
